About Melodon

Melodon at a glance

What you can do on Melodon

• Stream music and keep your library, playlists and listening history in one place.
• Share anything you're listening to. Put an artist, album, track, playlist or profile into a post or a private chat. It shows up as a card, and tapping it opens it.
• Follow two feeds: one for the artists and friends you follow, one for every community you've joined.
• Join artist communities. Every artist gets a free community where fans post, comment and run polls. How communities work
• Ask artists questions in AskMe threads, where fans upvote the questions they want answered.
• Back artists in their fan club for exclusive posts and members-only AskMe threads. Superfan and Patron members also get the artist's broadcast channel. Fan club tiers
• Chat one to one or in groups.

For independent artists

• A free community, set up automatically with your artist account.
• A paid fan club with fixed tiers, so you never have to set prices. Founding artists keep 90% of net fan club revenue; the standard split is 85%.
• Tips and paid drops that fans can buy on the web.
• Non-exclusive. You keep the rights to your music, it can stay on Spotify, Apple Music and Bandcamp, and you can remove it at any time.
• No per-stream royalties. Fans stream for free; you earn from the fans who choose to support you.

How Melodon works differently

• No algorithm deciding what you see in communities. Community feeds show the newest posts first.
• Nobody can pay to rank higher.
• Your data stays yours. Artists see aggregated insights, not individual listeners' data or contact details.
• Moderated with care. Anyone can report content; reports are reviewed with automated triage and human escalation, and decisions can be appealed. Community guidelines
