Artist Communities

Every artist gets a fan community. Free.

Melodon communities are open spaces where fans talk, share and connect around an artist's music — like your own subreddit inside a music app. Created automatically for every artist, free for every fan.

For fans

The place to talk about the music you love.

Follow an artist and you're in their community. Post your thoughts, photos and polls, reply in threaded comments, bookmark the best posts and share them with friends in chat. Posts from the artist stand out, so you never miss when they show up.

What you can do in a Melodon community

A fan community app built around music

Fans already gather on Discord servers, subreddits and group chats. The problem is that the music lives somewhere else. Discord has community but no music. Streaming apps have music but no community. On Melodon the song and the conversation are in the same app: you can listen to the new single and talk about it in its artist's community without switching apps.

No algorithm deciding what you see

Community feeds show the newest posts first. Nobody can pay to rank higher, and you see what the artist and other fans actually post.

Zero setup for artists

Artists don't have to build a server, set up channels or hire moderators to get started. Their community exists from day one, and they can pin posts and moderate it with their team. More for artists →

Safe by design

Anyone can report a post, user or message. Reports are reviewed with automated triage and human escalation, and every decision can be appealed. Read our Community Guidelines.

Free community, optional fan club

Communities are free and open to everyone who follows the artist. For fans who want more, the artist's fan club adds exclusive posts and a direct broadcast channel — community members see a preview of what's inside.

FAQ

Community questions

Are Melodon communities free?+

Yes. Every artist gets a community for free, and every fan can join by following the artist.

How is this different from a Discord server?+

A Melodon community lives inside a music app, next to the artist's songs, profile, AskMe and fan club. There's nothing to set up, and fans find it through the music they already listen to.

Who moderates a community?+

The artist and their team moderate their community, supported by Melodon's reporting and review process. Our Community Guidelines apply everywhere.

What can I post?+

Text, images and polls. You can comment, like, bookmark and share posts with friends.
